I saw this sketch on My Creative Sketches and knew that it would be perfect for the picture of Dad in his bee-keeping hood and gloves. I shrunk it down to 8½ x 11 size and adjusted the photos to less square. Then I dug out the paints, vellum, Grungeboard flourishes, Flowersoft, and little bee buttons. I dry embossed the die cut vellum flowers to give them veining and some dimension. I also cut the title and journaling block out of vellum. I took a bit of blue mica and mixed it with glue and applied it to the bee wings... it gives them a bit of shimmer in the right light. |
