Well, I couldn't post this until she got it, but the previous post's hat was given to my beloved BFF (Miss You, Sweetcheeks!) She said that she was going to wear it while passing out candy to the trick or treaters. I also made one for myself and one for Miss Thing.
I was going to bling mine up like the first one, but once I got the hat stitched together, it looked so much like the Wicked Witch of the West's hat, I just couldn't cover it up. So I put a spray of feathers on the side. It looks a bit like a pimp hat, but I like it! Miss Thing liked it too and requested her red-not-purple hat to look similar.
I wore mine to work (along with my lovely Asian Longhorn Beetle tattoo from the DNR booth at the Paul Bunyan Show. Miss Thing is now in Middle School, and costumes are just not done there. So we took our hats that evening and headed over to her Great-Grandparent's. My Mother-In-Law was also there. She liked the hats, thought they looked very professional, and told me that I could wear it all year long. ?????? Did she imply what I think she implied?
