Since only one of us had a decent bike, we petered out way before the young one. We loaded the bikes back into the truck and went for a walk around the lake.
I couldn't resist snapping more pictures of the gorgeous colors and the amazing reflections. I tried out my tripod for a family shot. I got everyone to stand for only three shots. In the first one, I hadn't even made it two steps; in the second, Miss Thing and I were hidden behind a tiny tree. In the final shot, it was too dark and we were just a smidge too far away for a decent picture.
So my Peeps, just picture me here with my wonderful family. I'm going to hold onto this day in my memory, because all too soon the leaves will be gone, the lake covered in ice, that nasty white snow will be blanketing the whole mess, and the bikes will be gathering dust in the shed. sigh..... I do dearly love fall.
